Film Screening and Discussion
Last year, the ‘Homing Pigeons: Birds with Wishes’ project captured our imaginations! Good wishes arrived to Christ Church Cathedral on the wings of fanciful works of art, created by school children in Aleppo, Syria. Visitors to the exhibition wrote ‘postcards’ and reactions and these were later posted back to the children in Aleppo.
This year Christ Church Cathedral, in collaboration with Places of ARcture, commissioned a short, follow-up film, to reconnect with the children as they were presented with their ‘postcards’ from Ireland and as they learned their artwork was received during the original exhibition.
